Margate has recently grown to be quite an artistic hub for Kent. Ever since the opening of the Turner Contemporary back in 2011, The Old Town has grown increasingly trendy and attracted a rise of down-from-Londoners moving to the area. There are now a variety of galleries in town who are celebrating Margate’s connection with the painter J. M. W. Turner, such as established land and seascape painter Ric W. Horner, who has created many highly atmospheric paintings of this region over the past 20 years, Many of them feature Margate Harbour and the dramatic seascapes, tidal estuaries, tranquil beaches, exposed clay banks and exquisite sunsets seen in the region.
This pack also includes one card of Ramsgate Harbour, one of Whitstable seafront and two of the London skyline from about 10 years ago.
